Water on the Water

Heading into the August Civic Holiday weekend boating safety will be in focus across Canada. The Canadian Safe Boating Council has initiated Operation Dry Water to bring attention to and prevention of drinking and driving while on the water. The program is hoping to encourage an enjoyable boating experience for everyone out there by making sure that boaters of all kinds are educated about the regulations. For instance, did you know that you can be charged even if you are impaired while operating a canoe? This in turn can affect your auto driving privileges.

As industry professionals who interact with boating clients everyday, consider pointing your boating customers to the info available through this program. An educated boater is a safe boater. It's a win win. Have a terrific holiday weekend.
