HELP WANTED - HELP OFFERED
In January, at the Toronto International Boat Show while I was hosting the NMMA Canada Boating Industry Breakfast, I extended an offer to the industry that we would continue to run your help wanted job postings in News Week again this year at no cost.
Take a look; we already have a large number of new postings. This is certainly the time of year when people are starting to staff up for the summer in all markets across the country.
In addition to that, we offered to also post these positions on our Canadian Yachting Onboard consumer targeted newsletter. That reaches over 36,000 boating families and enthusiasts while News Week reaches the people who are already employed in the industry.
Since 2010, employers have posted excellent career opportunities in the News Week Career Opportunities column. If you know a bright young person who is looking for a solid and rewarding future, be sure to share this newsletter with them.
If you are an employer seeking help, Boating Industry Canada's News Week electronic newsletter will run your 'help wanted' advertising at NO CHARGE as long as the ads are for marine industry employment in Canada. We do this as a service to the industry.
We do ask one thing of you though - we ask that the wording of your advertisement be supplied in the format seen below and that when the position is filled, you contact us to take the posting down:
•Position available or job title
•Location of work
•Describe the type and scope of work
•Minimum qualifications required and compensation offered
•Contact information for candidates to respond
To have your Career Opportunity posted in News Week, email Angie Michelle at angiemichelle@kerrwil.com.
One more thing - many thanks to all those who have sent in their own Career story. We are up over 10 stories now and the library will go up online later this month. There is still a need for about 10 or more stories though so we hope you will share your own story. Just click the link for a simple form that you can fill in, save and email back.
