A look at the past to plunge into the future

In this issue, we present a list of people who led CEDA — the precursor to CEMRA — starting in 1945. The list remains to be completed. This chronicle triggers a lot of memories, reminding us of many industry veterans; younger industry members will see family names. This clearly captures the community-spirited side of our industry, which is currently experiencing changes in size with acquisitions and mergers, such as ABB's recent acquisition of GE's industrial division, which Nathalie Pilon, President of ABB's Canadian division, comments on in this issue. Change also brings uncertainly, as we see with the NAFTA renegotiations and a new U.S. tariff imposed on our aviation sector. Always good to remember where we come from to understand where we are going. Good reading!
