The Elegant Picnic
To get you in the mood for cruising the Boat Show then launching in spring, here's a boat that Editor, Andy Adams reviewed this winter. It's hard to imagine a more elegant way to spend a day on the water than being aboard the Chris-Craft Launch 38. Everywhere you look - materials, hardware, fit, finish - all show impressive craftsmanship and quality. Chris-Craft is perhaps the most venerable name in pleasure craft, at least in North America, and the Chris-Craft name is over a century old.

This issue, to kick off 2019, we have an unofficial Photo of the week and this, the unofficial POTW.It came to us in a text from Roger in Windsor, but it's hard to resist.Low quality and with no credited photographer, I think it speaks for itself. The official Photo of the Week submission comes from Ann Masson of Picton who sent along some winter (albeit mild winter) shots from Belleville. Nice shots but just a bit gloomy. When is spring?

After all, having a boat invariably means hauling stuff and lots of it. Subaru, not too long ago was a fringe badge considered a bit of an outlier, has become much more common a sight in the quayside parking lot.
