What's in a name?
As you well know, boat names run the gamut from the beautiful and even poignant to the fun and possibly absurd. We've all chuckled at Passing Wind, Sotally Tober and Sclerosis of the River, but we've felt warm and fuzzy when we encounter more meaningful names like Wind Dancer or Gaelic Air. I was always engaged by the name Maggie Kelly named after a beloved grandmother.
Our goal is to get the name of your boat and the story behind it, sweet or salty. Send us a picture if you can - our address is just below I think this will make for some good reading.
Speaking of that, there's great information in our new Rules made Relevant column penned by International Judge Lynn Beale. The aim is to breathe life into the rules for everyone, racer or not.
See ya out there.
