Spring Fever

It's mid-Feb and boaters across the country start to get a little cabin fever as we stretch our necks out and search for signs of Spring. If you are lucky enough to be in Miami this week the boat show there will be in full swing, featuring Strictly Sail and Strictly Power on-water exhibitors. The CY Crew will be on hand so make sure to say hello. If you are thinking ahead to the Spring launch and outfitting your boat with new solar panels, be sure to check out this issue's Ask the Experts advice as Rob MacLeod tackles the question of solar power needs in the latest video. Our VHF Radio contest is running until Feb 23 so make sure you are entered for a chance to win! That and much more in this issue of CY Onboard.

Seakeeper Stabalizer
Product Focus

New Technology Makes Stabilization a Reality for Boats 30' to 50'

Based on the same technology found in more than 2,000 larger Seakeeper installations worldwide, the scaled Seakeeper 5 reduces resonant boat roll by up to 90% on boats 30'-50'. The unit uses a built-in computer to actively control a powerful gyro. Spinning in a vacuum environment, it produces powerful righting forces to stabilize the boat. While underway or at rest, the innovative unit dramatically lessens boat movement. And unlike traditional fins, nothing projects outside of the hull to diminish a vessel's performance. ...
