Midsummer???!!!
It's shocking to look at the calendar and see the middle of July staring us in the face. Perhaps that's the result of a very unusual summer... A cold spring and endless rain left us high water on the Great Lakes canceling plans and even LYRA, Lake Ontario's most venerable regatta. The America's Cup (or whatever entertainment extravaganza now is) brought us the Kiwi boat packed with cyclists pedaling at high speeds.
However, Wednesday night racing has been favoured with good winds, I met some fabulous people at a poker run, Canada 150 delivered some great celebrations and we've generally had a fine time. How's it going with you and your boat so far? Feel free to praise your summer, or complain about it. We still have a lot more ahead.
-my new poker run buddies-
