A Red Flag for the Blue Flag Program

June is such a fantastic month as it holds the promise of a whole new boating season waiting to unfold with adventures that you may have planned and some that you are yet to discover. One quick note this issue is that the Blue Flag program, which has been implemented across Canada, is a great way to determine the water and beach quality wherever you are travelling. However, please be aware that even if the water in your marina or yacht club is designated as clean and safe it is NOT safe to swim in marina waters due to the risk of Electric Shock Drowning. Read more in our article on the Blue Flag Program. There ARE oodles of spectacular places that offer great swimming and boating though so grab June by the reins and get out there and enjoy!
