Message From The Editor

You Reap What You Sow

Boaters, marinas and yacht clubs go together like wine and cheese, or burgers and fries. We in the boating business are often extolling the virtues of looking at a career in the marine industry and supporting your local marinas, which, by the way, we believe in quite strongly. However it's also important to note the level of customer service you are receiving from your favourite gas dock, restaurant or store while at your club. The way that a business treats its employees usually translates to happier staff and better customer service, therefore happier boaters and financially stable marinas and clubs. As a customer it would be worthwhile to take a few moments to observe all levels of staff that are available to service you and give them some considered feedback on what you see. Suggestions for improvements to customer service will likely be taken more seriously by management and compliments for jobs well done go a long way to fostering happier staff as well. Tweet us your thoughts to @CdnYachting.
