Mother Nature vs RCYC and other high water tales

In the salty parts of the country, the overflowing Great Lakes may not be prominent on the radar but in all of central Canada and the adjacent US states the water levels this year present some significant challenges for the boating community to overcome. The Trent-Severn system fully opened only on June 6, the Kawartha Lakes are described as 'over full' and clubs and marinas along Ontario and Erie are struggling with submerged docks and flooded parking lots. Last weekend, even the powerful Royal Canadian Yacht Club admitted Mom Nature wins and had to deter visiting boats after their gala annual regatta party (the pig roast survived.)

How has the water impacted your summer? Please check in with the CYOB Inbox from your port at Speaking of the Inbox, it's bulging this time again with America's Cup, racing controversy and more. Click here for some good feedback!
