Canadian Yachting's Onboard Newsletter for Power and Sail
Message From The Editor

Hey, what happened? At least in the east, summer is suddenly over. It's fall in a big way, people are wondering if they can go to the Caribbean and planning for boat shows. Frankly, I think it's a bit of a crime. Florida gets the weather, we get hockey.

However, there are fall/winter activities kicking into gear. CPS and other winter courses are getting underway. Winter discussions, like getting the America's Cup back into monohulls (finally!) are churning away. CY OnBoard is shifting gears to bring you off-season info and keep the boating flames alive even if your boat is out of the water. Which reminds me - you don't have to be a Canadian Yachting print magazine reader to enjoy OnBoard. It's free for everyone interested. Just register here and tell your friends. Mind you, you should also subscribe to the print edition - its pages are packed with info and well-illustrated articles.

One last thing - Our coverage of the passing of George Cuthbertson got lots of comments and there's a great letter from a sailor who enjoyed his boat and knew him well in our CYOB Inbox below. Don't miss it.
